Organic Cooking Course in Montepulciano

Your hosts Antonio and Karin are strongly committed to the concept of sustainability in their everyday life, which explains why they have taken such care in creating such a sustainable and harmonious environment for their guests.

Several years ago they moved with their two children to Montepulciano from the Chianti region and bought and restored a farmhouse, ideally located on the outskirts of town.  The farmhouse is now their family home as well as an agriturismo (farmhouse accommodation).

Karin, once an interior designer, and Antonio, once an engineer, had a clear idea of  the kind of restoration work they wanted to carry through - their project was based on the principles of bioarchitecture. Then as still today, such principles were considered somewhat eccentric and often  Karin and Antonio's requests did not meet the approval of local authorities, local craftsmen and builders. This  left them with little choice - armed with great patience and good will the two of them set to and with the help of some experienced friends  decided to do as much work as they could themselves.

Their hard work was greatly rewarded and today their agriturismo is a truly wonderful example of how comfort, beauty, and sustainability can coexist.
