Dance every day with a live orchestra and singer! Chianciano Terme is a town in Tuscany famous for its health spa. During the summer, the spa grounds host a vast range of outdoor activities in a wonderful park setting.
Take everything at your own pace
Enjoy a week of social dance and learning, from Waltz, Polka, Mazurka, Tango, Fox-Trot, Latin Dance to Cha Cha Cha in a very relaxed atmosphere.
Dance as little or as much as you like (basking in the sunshine as you watch your Italian companions dance and listen to the live music can be equally as enjoyable). Ideal for all levels from beginner to the more accomplished, for singles or couples.
Our dance teachers Paolo and Manola offer two hours a day private tuition at the spa's magnificent indoor ballroom (designed by well-known Italian 20th century Architect Nervi). Additional public tuition will be held in the park. From late afternoon to early evening enjoy the social dance which is held publicly in the spa's park.
Visit Film settings & taste famous wine
On Friday take a break and enjoy a full day excursion (included in package) and visit local highlights like Montepulciano and Pienza. MONTEPULCIANO is where New Moon from the Twilight Saga where was filmed. explore the Volturi's underground passageways, admire the Duomo, Palazzo Comunale in the Piazza Grande where the main scene was filmed.
While visiting the Renaissance town of Montepulciano we will stop at a historical wine cellar or "cantina", and taste the famous Nobile di Montepulciano wine. After visiting Montepulciano we will go to SANT'ANNA IN CAMPRENA near Pienza, where film director Anthony Minghella shot some of the most famous scenes of his movie The English patient, nominated for 9 academy awards. After visiting Sant'Anna in Camprena we will goto PIENZA, passing by some of the locations in which "The Gladiator" was filmed. Friday will also be your night out in the old town at one of Chianciano's top rated Wine bar restaurants ‘La Torretta' with live music (subject to availability).
On Saturday evening dance the night away at the Gala finale held at the spa's elegant Sala Nervi ballroom! Smart attire is requested.
Take a spa break and relax at the "Terme Sensoriali"
Also included in the package is a wonderful spa experience at Chianciano's ‘le Terme Sensoriali' (www.termesensoriali.it). Entrance to the spa gives you access to a number of facilities, such as the Swedish and Etruscan saunas, the Turkish bath, Music therapy, the whirlpool, the saline pool, music therapy....and much more! Massages and beauty treatments may be booked separately and are not included in package cost.

HOW THE TRIP IS ORGANIZED:
The group will be made up of a maximum of 16 participants. We deliberately keep the group small so you can get the most out of your private dance lessons included in your holiday and we work hard to balance the group so couples and singles are catered for.
If you are single, we make sure your group is gender matched so everyone has a dance partner. Please provide us your name, gender and date of birth. it would be helpful to offer us several dates so that we can choose the best group for you.
The 3 star hotel is superbly located within walking distance of the park and all activities. Continental breakfast and evening meal are included.
The holiday does not include travel arrangements. AIRPORT PICKUP:
Transfers are available from major airports either Rome (160km), Pisa (190km) or Florence (130km) for 160 Euro return per person based on min 4 people sharing. Cost reduction on parties of min. 6 max .
Alternatively Chianciano Terme can be easily reached by train or car. Motorway A1 "Autostrada del Sole", Rome-Florence exit Chiusi-Chianciano Terme 7 Km from the Hotel. The nearest railway station is Chiusi-Chianciano Terme ( on the Rome-Florence line) which is served by a bus route running daily (duration of the trip 30 minutes) or alternatively taxi from the railway station.

The name "Ballroom Dancing" comes from the Latin "ballare" which means, dancing. But in the 15th Century dancing in pairs became an entertainment. After becoming popular in the Italian courts, its popularity soon danced its way into France and England. 1776 was to become an important date in the history of ballroom dancing because it marked the exhibition of the first waltz in Vienna. After remaining a closely guarded secret in European high society, ballroom dancing was introduced to the rest of the population at the beginning of the 20th Century. This kind of dancing stimulates mental and physical coordination and can help develop a good posture for participants of any age.
